In a speech at the turnover ceremony for China’s donation to the military in Clark, Pampanga, President Rodrigo Duterte slammed judges who order government projects to be stopped just because of a complaint by a losing bidder.
“Would you believe it, hanggang ngayon, ngayon lang nabili, may winning bid, may protesta,” The President said.
“Alam mo yan ang sakit ng Pilipino. Itong mga p***** i**** to. Alam mo kung bakit? Karamihan yan binibili na madalian, kung sino yang Manalo, file-an nila ng kaso,” Duterte said.
“kaya i’m addressing also myself to the juges: Do not f*** with me. Matagal na ninyong ginagawa yan kaya ang gobyerno yung mga project na-paralyze,” he added.
The President said judges should allow a government project to push through if they knew it went through regular bidding.
“You know,. You can – the b***s*** paper there. Huwag kayong makialam. Cause every time you issue TRO, you delay the project and you are part of the graft and corruption that is going on still,’ Duterte said.
Last year 2016, President Duterte continued his tirade against corruption in government during a press conference in Davao City.
Duterte discussed alleged corruption involved in the issuance of temporary restraining orders by the courts.
“I will be harsh. Basta corruption, I will be harsh. I am telling everybody. And I am sending somebody to the Supreme Court and I really don’t know kung sino ang kausapin doon to stop this practice of the judiciary, TRO nang TRO. And you cannot implement a project, you cannot go ahead even if there is the advice already because there is a TRO,” he growled.
Duterte then went on to say that any project he approves automatically meant it was not tainted by corruption.
“When I certify, as President, that everything is okay, kapag mag-go signal ako, ibig sabihin niyan, walang corruption, that no money changes hands there,” he said.
“Kung hindi kayo maniwala, wala akong pakialam. Basta ang pagkaalam ko, pinili ako ng Pilipino para sa trabahong ito. And sad to say na I was elected not really because they want me as a President na ano but simply to put a stop sa crime, corruption, and drugs,” Duterte said.
