Ang TV is a youth-oriented variety show in the Philippines that showcased a lot of big stars that we are seeing today. Johnny Manahan, a Filipino director, enlisted a group of kids and pre-teens to create the first ever youth-oriented variety show in the Philippines.
Some of the today’s big names in show business, such as Angelica Panganiban, Jolina Magdangal, Camille Prats, Shaina Magdayao, Kaye Abad and a lot more, got their break mostly because of “Ang TV.” However, what are the latest updates on the lives of these ‘Ang TV” kids? Well, check it all here!
JOLINA MAGDANGAL- after her Ang TV stint, Jolens continued being a singer and actress. Currently, she is appearing in “Magandang Buhay” as a regular host and also as a judge in “Tawag Ng Tanghalan in It”s Showtime”.
ANGELICA PANGANIBAN – who would have thought that the charming little kid before will be one of the Prima Kontrabida of the Philippines TV. Her humor in “Banana Sundae”, her lead role in “Santa Santita”, her bida-kontrabida portrayal in “Ruby” are proof that she is definitely a versatile actress. She has an upcoming movie with Angel Locsin and Richard Guttierrez.

CARLO AQUINO – despite his bubbly and funny character in “Ang TV”, he still rose to stardom as a drama actor after he did a heavy drama role in “Bata Bata, Pa’no Ka Ginawa’ with Vilma Santos. His line, “akala mo lang wala, pero meron, meron, meron!” is one of the most famous lines in the Philippine TV of all time! He is currently appearing in ABS-CBN’s “The Better Half”.
CAMILLE PRATS – she can be tagged as one of the most famous child stars in the media industry. Her stint in the Philippine remake of “Sarah, Ang Munting Prinsesa” gave her the Best Child Actress award in the 1996 Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation Awards. She is currently on a break from her regular show “Mars” because of pregnancy.
JOHN PRATS – this brother of Camille, is a homegrown Star magic talent is also dubbed as the “King of the Dancefloor” and once of the greatest dancers in the Philippine TV. He regularly appears in ASAP and “Ang Probinsyano”.
