Whether his detractors admit it or not, Bongbong Marcos has won Round 1 in his electoral protest against Leni Robredo.
In the pre-trial of the protest yesterday, a story in manilatimes.net (http://ift.tt/2t2ng84) reported that the Supreme Court (SC), sitting as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET) allowed the recount of votes being contested by Bongbong in the provinces of Camarines Sur, Iloilo, and Negros Oriental.
The SC even went as far as decreeing that the ballot boxes will be stored, and the recount of the votes will be conducted at the gymnasium of the SC and the Court of Appeals in Manila.
The SC set aside issues raised by Leni’s lawyers in an obvious attempt to delay or defer the pre-trial, and instead discussed other issues related to Bongbong’s protest.
This means REPEATED PRONOUNCEMENTS by Leni’s camp that Bongbong’s protest should be immediately dismissed for lack of merit and a host of other reasons ARE THE GARBAGE that should be dumped immediately.
With this development, Leni’s camp NO LONGER HAS ANY SANE AND LEGAL BASIS TO BRAINWASH the public with various reasons on WHY Bongbong’s protest should be dismissed at once.
So let the show begin. Whether Leni likes it or not, now’s the time for her TO PROVE THE HONESTY of her claim that her victory in the 2016 polls was clean.
To start that, she must STOP filing new motions or petitions or whatever that could further delay the recount of votes.
Kung talagang walang naging dayaan para siya manalo, WALANG MATINONG DAHILAN PARA PATAGALIN pa lalo ni Leni ang pagkakataong patunayan na inosente siya, at HINDI SINUNGALING.
