Netizen accuses LTO employees of giving VIP treatment to Sue Ramirez

Actress Sue Ramirez was involved in a controversy with Land Transportation Office (LTO) after a netizen took a photo of the LTO employees in SM North EDSA while giving Sue a VIP treatment because she’s an artist.
The netizen posted her complaint on social media that took the attention of the netizens who found it so unfair.
“So ganyan po ang LTO haha! Pag si Sue Ramirez shortcut, na-open ang close na computer! VIP si ate! “Ang sambayanan tuloy nagalit, so pag artista VIP? Kapag lumang artista hindi, ( That’s how LTO is haha! If it’s Sue Ramirez, No need to wait in the queue because they opened the turned-off computer! She is VIP! Now the people are mad." the netizen wrote.

"So, if they are celebrities, they should be treated as VIP, but if not, they need to need to follow the usual process)” the netizen wrote." netizen added.

Here are some of the mixed commentaries shared by the netizens:

“Porket artista dapat VIP.. ako nga nung buntis pumila pa din kc nakakahiya sa mga tao na pagkatagal na sa pila. Pinapauna na ko pero sabi ko okay lang. Tawag dun decency.. (Because she’s a celebrity, should they treat her as a VIP.. Though I am pregnant, I still waited on the queue  because I was ashamed to the people who had waited for so long on their line. That’s what you called decency)”

“Hindi pa masyadong sikat si sue niyan ha samantalang si alden richards mas sikat sa knya nagline up tlga sa LTO Kainit init pa. (Sue is not that famous as compared to Alden Richards who stood in line under the heat of the sun)”

“Para din siguro sa kaligtasan ng nakakarami. Paano kung nagkagulo sa line. Diba ang hassle. Saka isa lang naman siya hayaan na natin.(Maybe it’s for the safety of the majority. What if there’s a trouble happened in the line, it’s hassle right? Let’s leave her alone, she’s just one)”

“Sometimes, hindi rin fault ng celebrities. There are some celebrities who are willing to go through the process pero yung mismong government employee nagbibigay ng VIP treatment in exchange for a selfie or yung mapagmalaki man lang na nakita nya yung artista. Hindi ko alam ang story dito kay Sue. Just saying na based sa nakita ko sa province namin, may katulad nyan na nangyari. Sana yung government emplpoyees mismo ang mag-observe ng tamang process without special treatment. Di naman uubra ang VIP treatment system kung pantay pantay ang service nila sa lahat ng tao. (Sometimes, it is not the celebrities’ fault. There are some celebrities who are willing to go through the process but it is the government employees who give VIP treatment in exchange for a selfie with then or just to brag that they met the artist. I don’t know the story behind this. Just saying based on what I was seeing in our province, with the same thing that happened. I hope that government employees should observe the right process without special treatment. VIP treatment would not work if there’s an equality on the service they give to all people.)”
